SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITES:

The Account Executive/Business Development Manager is responsible for driving direct sales through the creation and execution of a sales plan in the Upstate New York area. This will include sales, education and related support services of Lantek Security’s various product lines. The successful candidate will drive sales growth through communication and in-person meetings with new businesses and continued relationships with established customers.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and develop NEW business with focus on small to medium businesses and commercial accounts.
  • Educate and collaborate with customers on products available to build a solution that meets their security needs.
  • Prepare customer proposals.
  • Lead generation, including but not limited to cold calling, correspondence and meeting with prospective customers.
  • Maintain long-term consultative relationships with clients to earn repeat business.
  • Prepare sales plans and strategies and work with Management to put plans/strategies into action.
  • Develop and maintain customer database.
  • Plan and conduct direct marketing activities.
  • Maintain sales activity records and present reports monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain client relationships.
  • Be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to present in front of a group of people and communicate with personnel at all levels of an organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 to 5 years proven successful experience in B2B outside sales and marketing, preferably in the electronic security industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of outside sales.
  • Knowledge of basic business principles.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Able to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.
